Gridsmart 23.2.5 Changelog
PREREQUISITES: Gridsmart Processors MUST first be updated to 23.1 or later.
CRITICAL NOTE ABOUT THE UPDATE: It includes both low-level firmware updates as well as security updates to the underlying operating system. Upon reboot, it may take several minutes for the system to start up while the operating system updates are applied, with both the STATUS and CAMSTAT LEDs flashing during this time.
DO NOT DISRUPT THE SYSTEM DURING THIS TIME.
When the update is complete, it will be indicated in two ways:
- The phase LEDs on the front of the processor will all turn green.
- The Web App displays a progress bar during the update that will show that the update has completed and the system is rebooting.
23.2.5 DOWNLOAD FILE CONTAINS TWO PARTS.
THE UPDATE MUST BE INSTALLED IN ORDER.
NEW:
- Processor Memory Precheck (requires Part 1 of the 23.2.5 software update)
- Update file designed to cleanup unnecessary files and creates enough disk space to allow larger update files to be staged and completed successfully.
- Firmware update for FE3 Bell Cameras (requires Part 2 of the 23.2.5 software update)
- Over-utilization of memory space caused the camera to crash and reconnect.
- Updates the connection management settings and defaults to ensure that correct link speed is negotiated.
- Camera Link State Watchdog proactively checks camera statistics and link status to ensure cameras are connected, running at proper link speed, and in the correct state. Camera watchdog will recognize connection drops and automatically recover connectivity.
IMPROVED:
- Detection stability by addressing an issue that would display “frozen” or “stuck” images.
- Detection stability by addressing an issue that would cause engine restarts at nighttime.
- Connection stability of SC3 and AC3 that experience periods of reduced frame rates.
RESOLVED:
- An issue with older Bell cameras displaying green or yellow tinted images.
- An issue with some Advanced cameras experienced consistently low frame rates of approximately 5 frames per second.
- An issue in the Desktop App that caused detection zones and object masks to be shown out of place and askew. The issue had no impacts to detection.
- An issue after a reboot where GS3 Processor could enter a state where the Web app would load a “503 Service Unavailable” error page.
- An issue when using auto filled password tool or copy/paste into the password field when first setting admin password in a factory default state. The “set password” button and password requirements check were disabled.
- An issue with the streams playback full screen button.
- Known Issue: TSB10192023 - Unsupported Characters in Camera Names where certain characters (<, >, &, ', “), in cameras name would prevent that camera from being visible in the Desktop App.
- A broken hyperlink to the “GRIDSMART Cloud settings” on the “Settings” page under the “Network” tab on the Web App.
- An issue in the Web App with unconfigured cameras displayed no label when they should have been labeled as unconfigured.
- An issue validating the DNS data entry when DHCP was disabled on the Web App.
- An issue where some hyperlinks were broken on the Security Audit section of the Web App.
- An issue when uploading a new certificate, the user was not redirected to the active certificate page.
- An issue with disabling RDP/Captive User on GS2 Processor. The Web App could enable RDP or the Captive User but couldn’t disable it.
- An issue where the Alerts button is not enabled for users who do not have Performance or Performance Plus modules. All users should have access to System Events Alerts regardless of the software license they have.
